Experimenting with changing the color of the background by changing the distance of the subject/flash from the background. I welcome any suggestions for getting wrinkles out of polyester drapes. FA31

The baseball stadium (The South Bend Cubs at Four Winds Field, now... a year ago it was the Silverhawks at the Cove) must have turned its razzerfratzin lights off for a change, because I went out tonight and actually saw stars in the sky without going out of town. Not a lot of them, but enough I went inside and grabbed the K3, put a 31mm ltd on it, and tried to capture some stars:

This one caught a bit of tree lit by a streetlight

(I rotated this one 180 degrees. The big dipper was upside down from the camera's perspective.

I was trying to get my house silhouetted, but aimed a touch too high. Corner of one roofline, one of the chimneys, and a whole lot of glare from a streetlight or something on one side

My daughter started ballet lessons this past fall... I took this shot before her first lesson (FA31).

A lovely picture, well taken. Especially like the range of tones.

Couple of 'portraits' from Royal Castle in Warsaw. I was again surprised how much difference in IQ there is between Tammy 17-50 and FA43 in low light.

Nice set. I particularly like the third one.

Just took possession of a new-to-me FA43, so I now have the trilogy after nearly 4 years of being on the hunt for them. Really keen to get out and put it to good use.

It's a great piece of glass. I think you'll love it. The 43 was the first of the three amigos I acquired and its qualities made me want the 31 and 77.

Congratulations on your acquisition of the 43.

It will take patience and effort to learn it, but the results....

I have the 31 & the 77 so hopefully there is some progress on this already. There was some nice light last night and I managed to get out and get a couple of shots. I just haven't had a chance to pull them onto the PC and process them yet.
