Really nice Le Rolls, I think your 'style' is coming along nicely. These latest images are far more refined and delicate than what I saw of your earlier works (as if I know anything , its just an observation)

Thank you for the kind words. I feel as though I have been growing over time organically so it's nice to hear that others can see it in my work.

FA31

Something a little different and an excuse to use the 31.

If you will forgive me, I don't like this as much as your other recent posts - I prefer the more refined images you have created recently- but boy that 31 has some 3 dimensionality to it.....

You are forgiven. I don't like it as much either but it was the model's favorite shot of the day. When it comes to portraits I greatly prefer the look of the 77 but had to use the 31 for this shot. We may come back to this location with a different less wrinkled dress and some flowers to place around her. I will be posting more shots from this shoot later.

Did you used any external light for this pic?? Beautiful model, she seems very comfortable posing for you.

I use an external flash in almost all my portraits. Jenna is a friend at this point so we usually find a groove pretty quickly. On that particular shoot (which was on Monday) she was going through a lot of relationship drama so I figured we'd try to channel some of that into the shot.

I haven't had much time to get out birding with my tele's, so I've been making use of the 31, some black acrylic and my pets
this is nice!

How was your set up like? How did you manage the flash not reflecting on your black Acrylic?

Whats not to like?? She is a stunner, and so is the lens... the photographer seems to know whet he is doing too

Honestly I love the FA77, the lens is great...

But I still think the model and LeRolls are the key elements that make the shots. I don't think it would look bad with DA70 a 50-135 or a FA*85...

Agreed Nicholas, the Photographer and the model are the main contributors, and I agree the shot would look good with any of the lenses you list. I have never used a FA* 85 or a da 70, but I have the other two lenses. The 50-135 is a wonderful lens, but it does not have the character of the 77. IMHO there is just something about the 77 that almost defies description.

sure I agree, I had the 50-135 before and the FA77 is better. From FA77 and FA*85 owners the FA*85 is even better. My personal opinion between DA70 and FA77 is the FA77 is better... But anyway, all are great lenses, so that the cherry on the cake .
