More Ikea nonsense;

All three taken with the FA77.

Great nonsense shots!

OK, I gotta ask because I am the kind of person that goes a little nuts not knowing... on the second shot, there are what appears to be random scratches and dirt on the "surface" of the photo (upper left area there is even what looks like a curled fiber) as you would get on film emulsion. It is a very mild effect, almost unnoticeable, but once I saw it, I couldn't stop seeing it.

I know this can't be dirt on your sensor, as it would just be a gray blob out of focus, and it doesn't look like you shot it through glass, so that just leaves me with wondering if this is some kind of film effect plug-in you used... or what?

Sorry for derailing the thread... but I was curious. Thanks in advance,
Eric

Hehe, it is indeed an effect, 'dust & scratches' from Nik Collection's Analog Efex Pro 2 filter. Not the first time I've used it, but when I want something to look 'aged' and analogue it can be quite useful. Here I didn't use it so subtly on the cake shot, but I've used it multiple times, have a closer look here and here for example.

If you noticed the effect, I prolly overdid it, the better use of it I feel lies when it is not so obviously detected, subconsciously is probably better, something that contributes to that film look era but not obviously so.
