Not sure which one I like better so I shared them both.
I like the one without flare.

Two pictures with FA 43.

Thanks for sharing the calm, classically beautiful face of your model. Lucky photographer with such a model and lens!

Something the FA77 isn't known for, action shots & macro, so why not do both?

Good lord, now I want a FA43.

Ok... FA31 or 43, which got used the most? I know you have/had () the FA85 (and are now a Sony boi), but whilst you had the FA43 and 31, which did you reach for the most?

I think the 31 is optically a little bit better than the 43 but I reach for the 43 more often due to size. It's just easier and more convenient to shoot with. I usually use it in tight spots where the 85 wouldn't make sense.

I hate to booger up a great posting thread with questions... but here goes. LeRolls - Just curious, did you have to push any of the CA fringe sliders a little harder than usual in PP with the bright back light on those aluminum Bimini posts with the FA43? I "think" my FA77 would have some trouble with that lighting, and I'd have to do a little extra PP to make it go away... and lastly, was your FA85 any better/worse about those scenarios than the 43 or 77 (or 31 for that matter)?

TIA!
Eric

Yes, the FA Limiteds do require a little more PP than the 85. Especially in the scenarios you describe. Fringing is definitely there but for the most part is manageable.
