By far my favourite 'back to school' shot I took this morning. Man... when everything comes together for a semi candid kid shot like this... this is why I love photography so much!

Clynelish 14

Not had this bottle before, a first for me and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. A hybrid of sorts with both sweetness and smokey in the one dram. I really haven't had a whisky that tried to combine those two elements, it was either one or the other. I have to say it I quite like it, seems to work well (but then I'm very easily pleased).
Happy Burn's Night!
Clynelish is lovely. These days I tend towards the Islays and other fairly heavily peated expressions. I am lucky to be able to get many fine whiskies here in Cambodia both tax + duty free. Even my Scottish friends buy here and bring home haha. The Laphroaigs are nice, I prefer the 10 to the QC, but it is also a very nice one, I prefer the higher proof. Port Charlottes are lovely and unique. But most of all I prefer Ardbeg these days, any of them, they are all stellar if you like the powerful Islay style. Maybe we need a whisky club here haha

Yep, I too prefer the peaty smokey ones, like the lagavulins and laphroaig's etc. Been awhile since I have had an Ardbeg (my wife's favourite) so we'll add that to the list as well! The Clynelish indeed was a nice dram that went down well with company last weekend as we celebrated 'Burns' Night' a week late (as the previous weekend saw temperatures of over 40 degrees and we cancelled due to uncomfortable heat). My wife and I are both Scottish so quite enjoy inviting our Aussie pals to come round and savour some 'Haggis Neaps & Tatties' once a year on what is pretty much Scotland's National celebration day (with of course fine beer and whisky on offer). A few went back for more than one serving of the Clynelish which to my memory is a little rare as whisky is not necessarily a strongly favoured drink among our aussie pals (especially at this time of year which is our Summer...).

Oh and nice shot by the way!

Well let's just make add plenty of whisky shots taken with FA lenses and turn this thread slowly into a boozy club

Not so sure this guy appreciates a fine dram! This is Wolfgang (taken with the FA43);

Well sometimes you have to bribe them to get them to smile. This one earned more 'device time' for his time spent smiling and helping me. A practice school photo shot that earned a place in Explore. Shot with the 77;

I saw this on Pentaxians FB page, so good. I have a couple of questions (but don't mind if you can't be bothered to getting around answering );

1) Is this a new acquirement, the MZ-3? I did notice some film shots in your Flickr page from days gone by, were they taken with this or...?

2) I'm just getting into Product Photography and would be keen to learn how you shot this one. I can see for example that the logos 'Pentax' and 'MZ-3' are more 'obvious', either PP made to look to stand out a bit more, or a composite shot where lighting changed for the logos perhaps? Any BTS shots?

Really great stuff.
