That's a nice study of greens isn't it and a lovely slightly almost petzval effect to boot.

I know, the FA77 is full of surprises. I took another shot stopped down to f/4 and it was visually a lot less interesting.

I finally get to post some images here with my new FA 43/1.9. Nothing fancy as I've barely used it so far, but initial results in terms of image quality are promising. The first one is wide open.

attempted using rear curtain sync via cactus v6ii (TX) which ended up firing the flash twice making a double flash exposure versus just flash at the end

Here are another couple of samples from yesterday with the 43mm. They look frosty but it's just due to a little over-exposure and the white balance, still, I processed the first one with the in-camera "muted" profile to emphasise the look.

I saw the lens on flickr, it's a beautiful MIJ specimen, extra points for tan pouch did you buy it locally?

I think cross-posting is generally to be discouraged, unless an image is particularly relevant in more than one thread, as is having a thread for every possible classification or type of lens because it's just ridiculous. There's nothing wrong with the FA Limited thread and it's absolutely the place I would check to see sample images of these lenses.

Yes, I bought it in Madrid, had my eye on it for some time but the seller rejected my first offer so I spent what I had on something else (Fujifilm 18-55mm f/2.8-4) and had to accumulate more funds before trying a second offer. I think the previous owner accepted it begrudgingly as he told me he paid a lot more for it, but markets fluctuate and as it was still for sale I suppose he hadn't had any other offers as high as mine.
