FA43/1.9 limited on my K-3 II, newly converted to full spectrum by Kolari Vision. With the Hoya R72 filter. Unlike many of the lenses that I tried on the camera, the FA43 doesn't seem to show any infrared hotspot. Another reason why it's a great lens!

It isn't. Cataloochee Valley is a place in Smoky Mountain National Park that is really hard to get to. You basically take a narrow, winding gravel road up into the mountains and down into this corner of the park. Inside the valley there are a number of preserved structures, including this school, a church, and a couple of houses. It is really pretty and hard to get to and so not as frequented as a place like Cade's Cove. They have a herd of elk in the Valley as well that are one of the few places in the east where you can see elk in the wild.
