kicked off this years chase for the milky way......the haze was in abundance and of the light pollution.......east and west of huntsville, alabama......

past weekends meet n greet got to try out the flashpoint zoom-mini as a controller for the AD200 (handheld don't have a stand i can trust yet).......

Another test shot with the new FA77. The starbursts were an unexpected bonus... not sure if they all do this or if this is peculiar to the new 'HD' model...?

My smc FA77 certainly does. I’d thought the rounded aperture blades of the HD version (I assume that’s what you have) would not have produced such a definite starburst.

Yes, I wasn't expecting it either - this is indeed with the HD version with the new coating and rounded aperture blades. I've never owned the SMC model.

I notice this was shot at F8, so perhaps the rounding is less pronounced at the smaller apertures.
