Thanks. I might of had a bad copy of the 28A. It was better at the long end, at 28mm it was sharp in the centre but very soft both edges and corners, but not extreme edges, from mid frame onwards it was rubbish.

The 28A has a great focal length, but it does not generally receive much praise online from what I have found.

Just to update you guys:

I just got Tamron Adaptall 2 to M4/3 adapter arrive yesterday which could be a very handy piece of kit. I'll test it out over the coming days and make sure it works effectively on all my Tamron kit.

I've sent my SP 70-150 f2.8 Soft off for a full CLA to remove one small spot of fungus and smooth out the zoom / focus. Figured it was worth it considered I only paid £34 for it!

I'll be covering it in my blog when it comes back.

For those that are interested I have a blog covering loads of manual lenses and also my mission to walk all of the mountains in Wales and the hills of South Wales. I am walking 4-5 hills a week and mountains every other weekend and this is providing me with loads of time out with old lenses, so a lot of my recent Adaptall images have come from this.

Good work with the 63B. I must confess I didn't use mine a great deal, but I owned the full set of LD SP Adaptalls so it was hard to give them all the use they deserved.

I'm still using the 40A at the moment and still really enjoying it. As something above commented, the main issue with this lens on digital is purple fringing (and green fringing) so on grey days branches against the grey sky, especially if backlight have more PF than it is possible to remove in Lightroom without losing colours in other parts of the photo. In better lighting I've had no issues with any minor fringing being sorted in Lightroom. Stopping down does not help, even at f11 fringing is crazy in tough conditions.

They are all good, but the last pic is superb! Have you been showing off these lenses on a Sony forum?

Goodmorning (at least, that is what it is in the netherlands when I'm writing this),

Do any of you have any experience with the Tamron adaptall 200/3.5 for astrophotography? I've also asked this in the astrophotography club and then I stumbled across this club and guessed that you may have some experience as well. I've already spotted some very nice daytime images, so one is tempted to give in to GAS.

All the best and many thanks in advance,
Hans

No, didn't even realise there were Sony forums!

Again, just really excellent work. Your processing is lovely.

The 13A is a very good lens.

Works fine with all my Tamron lenses, everything can reach infinity and close focus distances seem accurate.

A handy little thing, I have a second on order as a backup.

The trio of superb pics is evidence of the trio of ingredients: good equipment, ideal opportunity and highly-capable photographer.

I love the colours and the sharpness in these three.

A couple of indoor shots thanks to my partner pointing out the leaf vein reflection through the early evening sun. All on the 28mm 02B. Lovely lens with an amazing build quality (I'm honestly sure it would survive a vehicle tumble easily!).
