Nice, Cindy. I really like my copy of the 02B as well. I wasn't impressed with the stock Tamron hood (not deep enough), so I tried a generic metal screw-in hood. Later I realized the hood is a bit too narrow, and caused the left side of my images to appear soft. It happened on this shot and I ended up cropping the extreme left side to remove to soft area. Back to the stock hood for now!
The 02B has a hood? I can't say I've run into too many issues sans hood with it...just a little flare here and there.

A hood is a tool. Modify it as necessary. There are no extra points for cosmetic appearance. The result is what counts.

What I meant was: the stock 02B hood isn't quite deep enough for aps-c IMO (designed for film), and I had some issues with flare in bright sun. I tried a generic metal hood that was a bit deeper, about 3/4". The problem with that hood is that it was nearly cylindrical, compared with the stock hood, which flared out a bit at the base. The "cylindrical" hood was actually interfering with what the lens "saw", causing the edges to blur a bit and become soft. So for now I'm back to using the stock Tamron hood, but I might try a screw-in wide-angle type hood, or maybe a rubber one.

Hood option for 13A

The Takumar 35mm f/2 and f/3.5 rectangular metal hood, with a step down (58 --> 49 mm) adapter, can be fitted to the 13A, and some photo tape used to fill in the light gaps. Just takes some care to get it threaded on. Works fine on a cropped (APS-C) sensor.

I have not tried it, but I am speculating that the 24 mm f/3.5 takumar rectangular hood, used with a 58mm filter ring (with glass removed),** may work on this lens and FF sensor. (Something I should try--except it is such a pain to get the hood properly on--so I hate to remove what I now have.)
____
** As I recall it is a clamp on hood construction (like the 28mm f/3.5 takumar hood), hence the need for the filter ring.

Yes, there is a dedicated hood that takes into account the shallow face of that lens. I have one and will share a photo here tomorrow. On APS-C, I just use a metal screw-in hood intended for 50mm normal lenses on 35mm film.

K5 + SP 60B 300mm f2.8 + newly acquired Sigma APO 1.4x tc. My first impressions of this tc were of a superior optic, more tests and pics have moderated this impression, differences betwen this and the 014F or my Kenko are slight.

Big crop.

Ok...It took me a couple of days, but here is the 22FH hood attached to its intended mate, the 02B Tamron 28m f/2.5.

Pentax K-3, Tamron SP 90/2.8 Macro (72B)

The hood is lightweight plastic build with matte inner surfaces (no flocking or ribbing). It rotates onto the lens filter threads to mount. My copy came with a flexible plastic case with snap-closured flap.

Yup, that's the one. Actually it's fine except for extremely bright/low sun days where I had some flare issues on aps-c. My free hand gives some additional shading.

Stacked, de-glassed filter rings, step-up filter adapters and sometimes a taped-on tulip pattern copied from the DIY shade sites offer a wide variety of hood options -- all in keeping with the spirit of the Adaptall lenses.

To be honest, I shot with this lens for some 25 years without a hood, using my hand to block oblique rays from outside the frame. That worked pretty well.
