Some more 23A birds

IIRC the first one should be close to 60 mm f8, the others at 300 mm also around f8.

Tamron 23A, my favourite MF lens until I bought a DA L 55-300mm.
Even with the weight, no AF and zoom creep it is still equal favourite.
Has an option for really close focus too!

Sorry, you can't take action photos without auto-focus.

That's my second all-time favorite lens. Beat out by the 80-200/2.8 only for its versatility, including equivalent IQ at my typical uses, despite the extra weight and size. Those two always produced 'keepers' if I did my part. Both played good with the Tamron Pz-AF 140 TC too.

Summer's a good time to exercise the Adaptalls. Anyone else usin' them with the K-1?

(Havin' said that, a nerve injury to my left hand has destroyed my manual focusing ability and I'm very reluctantly preparing to sell my Adaptalls - anyone interested please PM me. List: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/members/5425-pacerr/)

Oh, man, I'm really sorry to hear that! I'm learning from my shoulder injury how hard it is to confront the reality of physical limitation--especially when it means giving up an activity you've enjoyed and mastered to some extent. Also the tools which have been valued partners in craft.

And yes, the 180/2.5 is a wonderful lens: it's sometimes difficult to choose between it and the A*135/1.8.

My gardening is a bit like my photography but it is always nice to see flowers in the garden. Taken with the Tamron SP90 52BB.

30A

Some lily studies with the SP80-200/2.8 (30A).

It'sa very effective lens in the garden and woods as a near-macro tool with a little stand-off convenience but still hand-holdable. Try the30A and 63B with a 12-20mm extension tube to facilitate near distancefocusing.

And their best characteristic? I've never had an auto-focus problem with an Adaptall-2 SP lens!

SP 200-500mm f5.6 with K3-ii

I have been keen to check out different lenses with my newly acquired K3-ii. How would my 31A SP 200-500mm do?
Some ducklings at the RSPB:

Ma put in an appearance.

And Pa.

The coots seem to have bred quite prolifically this year.

Done ok I reckon..
