Lovely subject and showing the qualities of lens and photographer. Is that a "Sophie giraffe"? My daughter was attached to hers for a long time.

Very nice, Kirsten. Your use of Circle of Confusion is striking.

We're also filing away your method of displaying your Christmas cards for next year. Ours line up in a series of tall place card holders on the breakfast bar - but by New Year they are in the way.

Accidental Landscape - FA28

On a recent UK Pentax meet I was being shown a function on the K-x that I'd never used.... Held it up to my eye, locked focus and pressed the shutter... FA28 in Saltaire/Hirstwood Lock

Fa20/2.8

This lens doesn't get as much attention as the DA21, but it's still a worthy contender, in my view.

I took this late in the afternoon, after all the crowds had gone, leaving only the wreaths and a few curious onlookers. Anzac Day is Australia's main day of commemoration of those who have served in the nation's wars from before independence from Britain in 1901, until the present day.

Post-processing was confined to isolating the colourful subject, closest to the camera.
