I really enjoyed reading the story behind this bridge. I was recently thinking of looking into bridges here in Chicago. There may be some with an interesting history like this one.
Thank you glad you enjoyed it. There is one covered bridge in southern Michigan that is not too far from Chicago.

Agreed covered bridges like this are icons to our past. Here in the Canadian Maritime Provinces, primarily in New Brunswick, there are may covered bridges including the world's longest in Perth Andover still in service. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the bridges to post, something I intend to change the next time I travel up to New Brunswick
I agree too. i have always wanted to see that bridge. I used to go to Canada quite a bit but I never made it that far. I do miss going but they have made the border crossing almost intolerable especially when you are travelling with a RV.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes it's less than a 3hr drive. That would be a nice bridge to capture, especially now with the leaves changing colors.

Today's walk, with Tia and Jesse

K-1 with FA 50 macro. It seems to be popular today.

Lichen

Dead leaves

A few fungus

I guess today I forgot the moss. Always something.

I recently picked up a cheap FA 28-105/3.2-4.5 for a try on my K-1. A really bad lens, according to the reviews you can find here

Now it looks like I don´t get it off my cam anymore. Not the sharpest one, compared to Limiteds or my FA*80-200. But micro contrast is excellent and the color rendition... I love it.

Here are some recent shots from Berlin.

I rarely rely solely on reviews. When I was a teenager and just starting out with my K1000 I was taught that a good photographer knows how to get the best out of even his worst equipment. This is a great example of that.
