K-3 & DA*55 lit by dual Yongnuo 560IIs. One camera left, bounced off ceiling and second camera right, inside the RoundFlash.

My first quick shot with the 50-135 that I received yesterday from a fellow member. Can't wait to use this lens on my fishing trips.

Beautiful. And I'm guessing part of of it is due to the 55's rendering.

I got the 50-135 this week, my first da* lens and now I might have to sell the Sigma 17-50 I got last month for a the 16-50.

Oh no! What a drag. What did they quote you?
Just got my 16-50 back from Precision today....also 206 plus tax. Was not SDM....the zoom got locked in place. I will say it looks brand new. Will try it out this weekend.

I've got both the DA*16-50 and DA*50-135. They make a great combo. Both mine are sharp with great IQ. I've never owned a Sigma so can't compare. I've read on this forum though that others have said Sigma displays a more yellowish cast. Not sure if it's true but many have agreed on that observation.

The 50-135 + 16-50 is a great combo. The 50-135 is one of the best Pentax lenses, ever, in my opinion. My copy of the 16-50 performs very well, although not quite as good as the 50-135. The 16-50 is mounted on my K-3 and previously K-5 over 90% of the time. The pair rarely leaves my camera bag. When I pare down to 2 lenses, these are the pair.

Me too! I miss my 16-50. Still in repair status at Precision. At least it's not waiting for parts.
