Great shot but how did you get that Dragonfly to do handstands?
I didn't do anything to the insect, it just pose like that.
Was actually chasing after a kingfisher, lost it and shoot this dragonfly instead.

The quality on this thread is more what the PPG should be about. Some lovely shots.

Another misty day from me.

You are a wizard of mist. And long-FL landscapes. Beautiful.

Dear Simon,
love your captures with the DA*55
I had to return my copy of that lens because of back focus.
Not able to compensate with my K5.
But looking at your pictures (and remembering how well balanced was the 55 on the k5) I'm thinking to try again with another copy....
YOUR CAPTURES ALSO AT 1.6 ARE SO SHARP!
In the meantime let's bite this apple.....

Hi, thank-you for you comments!
The 55 does feel excellent on the K-5 especially with the grip, mine back-focus's also but I was able to compensate it with the body AF micro adjustments, it really is a lens worth trying again, its quite a gem.

Great capture too mate!

Cheers Simon

One with the DA*16-50. Seems to get some bad press but the weather sealing and sharpness mean its a lens thats always in my walking bag.

Hi dear colleagues!
Last weekend I noticed one problem in my DA* 55.
I was hiking outdors, in the mounteen, and on one pass i mounted DA55. It was about -10 outside.
Lens was focusing, but something wrong with apperture was..
here is my portrait my friend shooted, EXIF saying that apperture is 10....well obviously it is not looks much more like 1.4. what was the problem? lens is working well at home now.

The K-5 and DA*55 could not have performed better today, consistently nailed focus time and time again today in the action shots, out of about 50 shots 3 was mis-focused.
