Nice! Reminds me of the medieval ruins in the south of France. I just got this lens and can't wait to take it out.

Nice, are you in Colorado now?

Light didn't go the way I was hoping last night so I played with some zooming exposures for something different.

I was in Denver the end of last week, but back in "Sweet Home, Indiana," now.

Did anyone else notice that the marketplace seems to be awash with DA*'s for sale? I think there are three DA*55 as I type, and a 16-50 and at least one 50-135.

Just thought I'd mention it for any club members thinking of rounding out their ensemble.

yep. Lots of them out there and the prices are falling. I missed out on a DA*200 on fleabay for $400. I ended up getting one at Adorama for $650 and still think I got a good deal. I sold my DA*16-50 for $450. I lost $150 in less than 1 year on that lens. I think people are getting ready for the full frame.

Interesting! I have wondered about reducing my DA and DA* holding (especially the DA limiteds) but the more I think about it, I don't think I want to.

I am looking forward to hearing how DA lenses will be handled on the FF, I am hoping for a variable or no-crop feature that allows the more FF-capable designs to be used properly.........but I am not holding my breath.

I will never part with my DA* lenses but I have no interest in a full frame camera. I do hate the fact that their value has dropped so much - all the more reason to just enjoy using them.

I think some people pay way more attention to value than necessary. Regardless of any objects value, it still peforms the same whether it's value is zero or one million. Value is only relevant if you are investing in something you want to sell at a later date. If you don't plan to sell it, value has absolutely no importance. I don't buy lenses to get rich later on, I buy them to enable me to capture photos in a certain way.
