Ah, that isn't heavily edited. Besides a few dust specs everything was a global adjustment.

It was easier to get the moon and landscape both exposed correctly for a few reasons. One is the lunar eclipse was starting which put the moon into the edge of the Earth's shadow which dims it somewhat even before you see the hard shadow line pass across the lunar disk. Also, the moon being low on the horizon helps too because it's reflected light has to pass through more atmosphere from this angle. Finally, those clouds helped a little too. I still underexposed a little and then brought the shadows up to make sure I got detail in the moon.

Glad you like it. I just got a 20x30 canvas print of it for a gallery here and I like how the print came out too. Hopefully it will sell!

ok, thanks for the info, i was asking because I tried to photograph the moonrise few days ago and even with bracketting 5 steps, I could not get the horizon clear enough while keeping the moon correctly exposed with enough shutter speed. Probably that your moon rised much earlier after sunset than mine, allowing more light for the rest of the environment...

cool for your prints... I am sure it would sell!

A couple of shots of my daughter in the rain. She was making a big leaf pile, but rather than using a rake, she decided it was easier to put the leaves in a tupperware container and carry them to the pile.

Some shots of downtown where I live, with the DA*16-50 and K3 on a tripod. Long exposures around 15 seconds each.
