Purchased my very first prime lately, DA* 55mm. Like the sharpness even wide apertures! At least lens is sharp if the subject is not, huh?

K3ii, iso 100, 1/320s, f/1.6

K3ii, iso 100, 1/8s, f/9.0. Panorama (6 shots).

Playing with a few of the DA* lenses today. The flowers are DA*16-50 and the moon crop is from the DA*300.

Looks like you also have a sharp copy of the DA* 16-50. I love mine and will be holding on to it for a while.

Also nice shot of the moon. I took some last night with a A 400mm F5.6 on a tripod but I was on a porch that was shaking so the images didn't come out as sharp as I would have liked. You should crosspost that in the Show me your ......MOON ! thread. If funds allow I may pick up a DA* 300 some day.

Thank you for the comments. I have been enjoying both lens since picking them up here a few weeks ago from a couple forum members. The cost is much less than new if you can get it. The tricky part is being the first to send in an offer. Things go quick.

The moon shot was handheld on an old K10D. I really like that lens!

Thanks, the long lens allows you to get up close an personal, with being too close for the chipmunks.
