If you look at Flickr at full size photos, I think they are OK. For some reason Flickr's resizing algorithms seem to soften images a lot. I guess the solution would be to upload 1000 pixel long side images to Flickr.

That's mostly what I do. I don't want to waste the bandwidth and upload time for full res images either and it leaves a lot less for people to steal without watermarks.

Because the forest fires in Portugal and sand from Africa were carried over Europe by the Hurricane Ophelia.
