I agree. Number one is striking. Almost like a Chinese screen painting. Great shot.

This park on Toronto's waterfront was landfilled from construction waste so the "beach" features a lot of bent steel reinforcing bars.

I had to stop by to say that I just got a used 50-135 and I'm astounded by 1) The image quality, even wide open, 2) the AF speed, which is (surprisingly) among the fastest I've ever encountered, and 3) the AF accuracy on my K-5 — it's easily the most accurate-focusing lens I've ever used, hands down. I've owned the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8, the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8, numerous 135 primes (including two copies of the K 135 f/2.5, a Takumar 135 f/2.5, the Pentax A 135 f/2.5, the M 135 f/3.5, and the Tak-Bayonet 135 f/2.5 just to name a few), as well as the SMC DA 70 f/2.4, the FA 77 f/1.8, a ton of 50s (though not the DA* 55), and a good number of other lenses. The quality of the 50-135 is head and shoulders above the Sigma and Tamron zooms. It's at least as sharp as the K 135 f/2.5 wide open (at 135mm, of course). I'm going to sell my DA 70 Limited, since its only benefit now is its tiny size & weight. The 50-135 is just so good. I used it at church last week in very low light, and it did great. I did some head shots this morning for a customer, and I couldn't be more pleased.

I will second that! Comments in the lens review section of this forum tend to say the 50-135 AF is ok if you want to shoot a snail race but I get nice shots of my kids indoor sports activities (figure skating, cheerleading, basketball and badminton). And 50-135 is such a nice range for aps-c, and the lens doesn't weigh a ton like a 70-200. My favorite lens by far.
