Roger and out....

Unfortunately I have to announce my quitting of this club.
After 1.5 years with DA40 that gave me more PPG shots than any other lens, and kept me really really happy, I'm selling this lens. I got crazy deal on FA43 in silver and couldn't resist.

Oh man... I look forward to hearing your report on the Silver 43...

The DA 40 served you well...

Yes, it did. I think you may find the 43 even more enjoyable.

Photzone wasn't all that kind to the FA 43mm ltd. However, I see many images from it that I like a lot. In fact, at the risk of making some folks mad, I see more images that impress me from the 43mm than the 31mm.

It's really hard to let it go but I can't justify both 40&43. I don't need 43 to be better. If it will be at the same level I'll be happy. It was the extra stop, MUCH easier MF and the price tag of 300GBP that made me go for it. Considering it's silver copy (I have silver 31) and in brown bag (one of the first series, again as my 31 in reed bag) and that it fits better to my line up (24-31-43-55) it was deal I had to do. Still, leting the 40 go is hard, I really likedd this lens...

Just got the DA 21mm, so I can join this club now as well

A great combination with the K-x!

Great flare resistance as well:

I spent most of the last week in the studio playing piano for a recording session by the Fred Hess Big Band. I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I did last year, so I can't really put together much of a post documenting the experience. But I am posting a sampling here, since I shot pretty much exclusively with my DA Limiteds. As is often the case with my shots on these threads, I'm shooting at high ISO and slow shutter speeds, so don't be expecting the ultimate in sharpness or whatever. It's more about showing the versatility of the lenses, and hopefully some fun pictures along the way.

DA40:

(the above shot was from our one live gig during the week of recording, taken from the piano in the middle of a piece at a time when I wasn't playing and didn't think this would be too distracting)

tough choice...

i am currently shooting with the 21mm ltd, and a looking to expand my limited collection. The problem is, I can't decide which lens to pick up... the 40mm or the 15mm. Any thoughts?

I just bought a 40mm yesterday because of its extremely high ratings and great reviews.

However, if you're looking for something like a 15mm, get it!

Either choice will be a great lens, but I myself opted for the 40mm.

And I'm so happy to finally be a member of this club!

Based on your current lineup (if the 21mm and 18-55mm WR) is it, I'd strongly consider the 40mm ltd at the moment because it may have the best prices relative to the other ltd lenses.
