Wow! I wonder how the 21mm would do given the same task. Perhaps, same quality but cropped a little?

That is one of the worst portraits I've ever seen! The subject is too far away, underexposed and inconsequential in comparison to the the splendor of the aurora--it's wonderful!

At the risk of derailing the thread, I honestly have no idea what you are talking about.
I got that It's a Simpsons quote...classic. "Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?"

Great shot!

Hehe. I was not sure how to word it. I just meant it was ME in the photo. Taken in northern Norway, and it was my first try shooting the northern light.

Would you like some tea?
This is exactly what I do during assignment time... (i am in grade 12, looking to do medicine)

taken HANDHELD with no post processing
(I held the camera in my right hand and the jug in the left)
lighting setup: a cheap, warm lamp to the left, and the built-in flash
Captured with the Pentax K-x i have had for 2 years now, and the amazing DA 40mm Limited Lens
Enjoy~

I'm not one for flowers, but I wanted to try some with raindrops. All taken with the DA 35mm macro, ISO 400, f/5.6.

Very nicely done. I love the wee 40mm. I should have kept my old KX - I doubt the two would ever be parted.

I really like that set Abieleck.

Roadside shot from me with the DA70. I like this bend - I just can't quite work how to get it as I see it in my head.

Agreed! Great stuff you guys.
Mark, that is a nice bend. It would be really cool from a little bit higher vantage if there is one. If not, that shot is very nice as-is. Love that mist.

Shouldn't you be wearing your sun screen or some mechanical radiation protection?

Great shot but I'd like top see some detail in the foreground.

How DO you see it in your head? Maybe do a drawing and try to imagine which lens etc...?

Cheers
Steve
