I finally acquired the last of the DA limiteds - the HD DA 35mm limited macro. I will always love the (SMC) 15 and 21, and I sold off the 40 and 70 in favour of their FA cousins, but this new lens is in danger of becoming my all-time favourite. It allows you to really go and rub noses with your subject and the sharpness and bokeh are amazing.

Some early output on the K-3, all hand held:

Wet rose

Bonus insect

Head shot

You are very astute. That's Utah (Park City area/Wasatch Range).

As soon as the temp warms above 0F,
Congrats and welcome! FYI, my DA 15 works well below zero.

Oh my 15 works at cold temps. I am just a bit concerned about moisture condensing inside the lens and camera when they come back inside. The freezer bag trick buffers the camera from interior air but the lens was assembled in the tropics and there will be water vapor trapped between lens elements. Dew point here this morning is -33F and the temp is now -36F.

That's nature's way of telling you you shouldn't be there. Some people just can't take a hint.

Wow, that's impressive! I don't often see people posting from somewhere colder than here. Admittedly, I have only had mine in use down to the mid -20's. Anything colder and I can't seem to use my hands well enough for photography if I'm out for very long.
I've never had any real problems with condensation and have definitely never seen any inside the lens for what it's worth.
The coldest I have ever seen it here (Gunnison, Colorado) is -37 F a few years ago. Brrr!

It was great fun - the locals are so busy fleecing tourists to care about you taking pictures of them

Interesting light and plenty of colour. It probably gets tediously hot in the summer though.
