It was great fun - the locals are so busy fleecing tourists to care about you taking pictures of them

Interesting light and plenty of colour. It probably gets tediously hot in the summer though.

Great place, isn't it?
Nice shot! I'll reply with a few shots from my trip there in June 2012:

K10D raw, DA 21mm Limited, f/6.7, 1/125, ISO 140, processed in ACR and CS 6

K10D raw, DA 21mm Limited, f/8, 1/125, ISO 100, processed in ACR and CS 6

K10D raw, DA 70mm Limited, f/4.5, 1/8 handheld, ISO 800, processed in ACR and CS 6

This last one shouldn't really be here since it wasn't shot with a DA Limited but with the wonderful Tokina AT-X 90mm Macro.
K10D raw, Tokina AT-X f/2.5 90mm Macro, f/4.5, 1/125, ISO 400, processed in ACR and CS 6

Took a little detour on my way home from work and grabbed a few shots with the K-3 and DA 40 (classic)
First, I was in a field getting shots of this scene when a lady yelled at me that I was harassing wildlife. The ducks did move to the other side of the pond; hopefully they will recover.

Oh, and it's right next to an airport. This c-17 did a touch and go shortly after.

The ducks may need to speak to a counsellor but I'm sure they'll be fine. Just make sure he's not a quack.

Did a focal length summary on my lens use with 18-135. About 60% are shot at 18. The next largest number was at 21mm. Random shots at 30-135. Also looked,at best shots from this sample. Wide angle (18) and around 21mm were the best. I have the 15mm Ltd. now I lust for the 21mm! So I am thinking the 18-135 becomes my lousy weather lens.

But now I need the 21! Already have the 15, 35 Macro, and the 70mm Limiteds. I cannot see how the new 20-40 Ltd can improve on,these lenses.

Good plan. At the wide end, my now returned DA20-40 was nowhere near as good as my DA21. Plus you get starbursts!

yes ....good plan. I have the 15, 21, 40 and 70.....and use the 18-135 as my lousy weather lens. The 21 is under rated....damn good and useful lens

Man, you've been posting some beautiful stuff lately! These scenes of desolate rural winter bring back memories (not particularly fond, I'm afraid) of my college days in Richmond IN.
