Dragonfly,
You sure know how to make an entrance into the DA limited club! Beautiful shot... where was it taken?
Thanks for the compliment. The photo is from a hazy N.Cal afternoon. The lighting was unique and I wanted to see how well the 40 does shooting into the sun. I like the starburst lens flare.

I had to take several different exposures to get a good image and I'm not sure whether I ever really focused on the tree in the center.

Nice shots Marc

I really like the first one.... do you know what instrument he is playing?
Thanks! It's an English Horn - an overgrown oboe (which he also also plays, along with bass clarinet and various saxophones). The musician is Paul McCandless.

Thanks!

My DA70 hardly ever gets used in daylight, so I rarely get to see it stopped down at low ISO or at low ISO. Every time I do, though, I'm kind of taken back again by how good it is. Here's Pedro in the late afternoon sun:

Nice Marc. Adorable photo and excellent lighting.

I was saying in another thread how I am undecided on this lens. But I think it is only because I have grown accustomed to the closer focusing distances of my other lenses. I think learning the DA 70 will be a nice little project.

Tempting pic...! I don't own any pets, but always liked those hairy cat shots!

The DA 40 has been my most used lens so far. Very compact, contrasty, and crop friendly...

I'm looking at a wider lens for a buy at the immediate future.
