Great shot! Unusual perspective and impressive detail. How did you get him to sit still when you were so close?

thank you - there is a bit of a crop in that, but I think some of the dragonflies just don't care about how close I get; some act quite skittish but there seems to be always one or two who know they can get away from me no matter what...

and the unusual perspective - the clothesline they favor are six feet off the ground, so a bit above me while I'm shooting....

I've been shooting this past month with SMC Pentax M 20mm f4... so similar in size, and FoV to my favorite DA 21 ltd... It was getting neglected, so I thought I'd dig it out and do some comparison shooting for my own edification. I came up with this one that I thought I'd share.

My only Limited, the 40/2.8, usually gets used only when I'm travelling for business. Maybe I should take it out more often...?

i have just returned from a trip to montenegro and my two main lenses were 15 and 21.
21 just keeps surprising me more and more.
we have had a love/hate relationship but i have since apologized and she asked me back)
enough crap.
there she goes again.
