Many thanks. That third photo was taken in a very picturesque village in northern Burgos, in the north of Spain. Spain has a lot of very nice villages and almost all are places that tourists visiting from outside the country would never go to because they're far off the beaten track. I love photographing such rural places, especially if they're either run-down or look like time hasn't touched them in 200 years.

I couldn't agree more - for the last 5/6 years my wife and I have driven from the UK to Spain and visited many of these lesser well known Spanish towns and villages, there are so many that are both picturesque and atmospheric, some examples would be Trujillo and Caceres, but there are too many to mention!

Actually the same applies to parts of Germany, one of my daughters is married in Germany so we get to see places where time seems to have stood still. Sicily is another case in point, in many places the buildings have been there for what seems like forever with the odd bit falling off now and then but it doesn't seem to worry them, makes me feel quite at home.

Here are some flower shots from the botanical garden in Paris. These were taken in spring this year using the Fujifilm X-M1 and the DA 40mm limited that I had purchased earlier that day.

Going through a severe drought, temperatures between 105+115 for weeks now, with the odd cooler day now and then, and then seeing a shot like this...
On the one hand it can cause depression, but I try to mentally transport myself to that place and it cools me down, in my mind at least...thanks for the share

Take some pics for those of us in the frozen north! Wife, baby, and I are headed to Mexico next week for a cruise to escape the winter for a while. Perspective is everything I guess!

An HDR stitched panorama from Norway using the DA 40mm limited. I re-worked this with better PP the other day.
