Wow, great stuff here lately!
Here's a couple of K-x & da40 X-posts from elsewhere:

Ski touring in the big storm (that is still going!) over the weekend:

I'm struggling lately. I want to LOVE my Pentax K-x, but up until now I've had a hard time bonding with it. I know it sounds silly. I used to LOVE my Olympus e-410 and haven't felt the same way since about a dSLR.

I finally got to the business of really fiddling with the colors in the camera settings. I was shooting raw, but felt like it underexposed a bit so followed some tips I found around here and also adjusted my own color settings to get more of what I like out-of-camera. I still post-process, but I like the photo that comes out of the cam to have some pop. I think I'm spoiled by Olympus colors and Leica sharpness.

Anyway, for Christmas I got a 40mm f/2.8 Limited from my mom, and about a month ago bought the 70mm f/2.4 Limited. Played with them quite a bit this week and with my new custom colors, have been MUCH happier. The lenses are a dream! I think if Pentax make a mirrorless body with these limited-type lenses they'd have a winner on their hands!

Enough talking, here's two... first from the 40, second from the 70...

the fact is that, today, just a coincidence but my colleagues brought to office their cameras, too. a semipro Nikon and a Canon 7D with 50mm Sigma (only this lens weights more than my camera + lens)

it was kinda awkward moment, since K-x + DA 40mm looks like a Point&Shoot

My canon friend (he's a pro) uses a 5D mk II and a bunch of huge frikkin' lenses (and a 50mm 1.8). He was blown away by the 40/2.8. He told me he was originally skeptical of the speed of the lens, when he asked how it could possibly be that small, but changed his mind when he found the results of the lens wide open were on par or better to most of his lenses at f2.8.

I might have no idea what I am talking about, but I'd like to think he does. It's a great lens .
