Now have two DA Limited lenses.

I snagged a 15 a month ago and now I just received a 70...can't wait to go try it out. Only cost me $348, like new in the box. It is so nice handling lenses with a build quality equal to the Vintage Pentax and Leitz lenses I have been used to for film work. My other favorite lens is my FA 20-35. Combined with the 3 SMC-A lenses I have (50 1.4, 50 2.8 Macro, 135 2.8) I have a very nice lens set that can do everything I need. I suppose an FA 31 Limited will be the next addition.

First time post for me. I am John, and I am a recovering DA* addict...... Just getting into the little HD DA Limited gems. I am sure I will get used to the fiddly dust-caps, constant lens changes, and endless bag rummaging for the 'right one'! :O)

One here from me from the DA 15... 5 shot HDR. Apols for cross-post with DA 15 Limited thread, but I really wanted to say 'Hi' and thanks for all the LBA inspiration here.

And here's a set showing a little more restraint, no HDR here

Thanks for looking

Hi John,

Yes, rummaging for lenses, mounting them while in awkward situations, and many other forms of "difficulty" are part of the wonderful world of prime lenses ... It's called "Suffering for your art!", and I think it's worth it.

I'm not usually much of an HDR fan myself, but I thought your HDR picture was really nicely done! Cheers.

A couple of shots I took on Saturday. I had bracketed shots to create an HDR but the first shot with the cyclist limited my ability to actually process an HDR. So, I decided to see how much I could pull out of one shot, and I was mostly happy. The tree on the right side is a bit much for my taste, but it worked. The second shot, I decided to do the same thing as I copied settings from the bike shot and then darkened the foreground a bit to keep focus on the sky and pond.

Both shots with the 21 mm

Nice shots. Much better than the unreal trippy HDRs that proliferate on the DA15 thread

Thanks... I did get one HDR out with the 21 mm. I usually try to reel them back in often purposely blowing out or underexposing areas because I think the thing that drives me crazy the most is the knowledge that something should be blown out or underexposed. Or mostly, it is the fact that things that should be in the shadows don't look like shadows.... I'm still working at it. HDR does require a delicate touch.
