Nice. I'd love to see more of your concert shots taken withe the DA 15, maybe right up near the stage, looking up at the performers? Or even from behind. You're developing a style and eye that's really enjoyable to me.

Thanks, I really appreciate that! I did just post a couple more concert shots in your DA15 thread, but they're pretty much the same scene with different musicians. I'm a bit too self-conscious to want to be too close to the musicians when shooting - I know first hand how distracting this can be from the other side. But I have been known to do this sort of thing during rehearsals. I don't have much to show for it yet, but here's one:

The EXIF is present in the picture - you might want to download a plug-in for your browser to let you access this kind of info directly in the future. But FWIW, it's K200D, 15mm, f/4, 1/20", ISO 1600 with a bit of a PP push in the midtones.

Inspired by Jay's comments, but still limited by my own comfort level, I gave it a bit of a shot last weekend. Couldn't bring myself to shoot that close from the front, but managed one from *behind* the drummer:

K200D, DA15

Not really all that impressive, but you'd be surprised at how close you have to be to be to do this. This Friday I'm shooting a band where the leader specifically wants me to get some shots of him (he's someone I don't yet have anything good of), and *maybe* I'll feel OK with making more of a nuisance of myself.

To me, the atmosphere of this shot is tremendous - I'm in the band. It's casual, but intense. It's arresting in only a way this FL gives you with that FOV. And I do know how close you would have had to be to get that shot with this lens, nice job

I really like the third one, try colour correcting the first two, you should get much better results.

Yes, sorry. Here's a link to the page so you can see what Flickr reports:

MJS_100227_5457p on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

But the most relevant info is K200D, DA15, f/4, 1/20", ISO 1600

And thanks for the comments!
