From what I have researched any of those should work with the raynox 150. My guess is that the tammy has better optics than the DA. So in that way the quality might be better than the Tammy even though I hear good about thing about the DA.

But you will get more magnification with the DA as it has a longer focal length. The adapter for the Raynox will fit both lens fine.

hello !
no tripod. this little fella climbed up my balcony glass door
and the natural afternoon light came from the right.
i leaned against the door and moved my camera really slowly to focus.
did 5 shots to get one right

one more from above: same setting - standing on a chair

That is also really good. I will be that lucky to have one of these beauties around my place.

Anyway I am begining to think if there is something wrong with my camera. Because I shot yesterday on a rainy day outside at ISO 1600 with F11 and I couldnt even get 1/100s. You have ISO 400 and got 1/200s. Ofcourse this depends on the ambient light. Besides that I cant seem to keep still to shoot handheld.

The 150 is superb with the DA55-300 in my experience. One seldom noted advantage is that the built-in flash works for almost all the magnification range (to a bit above 1:1). I also have the Tamron 28-75 and have seldom used it with the Raynox 150.

Hello,

the DCR-150 produce better quality image beacuse of better optical build.
The DCR-150 is 3 elements and the link you give is one element.

Take a look at this image (image size reduced to 800 max), hyper macro (over 1:1 magnification).
Shot with an DCR-150 or DCR-250 on the sigma 105 mm macro with K-5.

And without the raynox but not 1:1, less than 1:1.
Always Sigma 105 mm macro (proxiphoto), maybe 1:4 or 1:5, i didn't remember the magnification..

I was asked to come and post some shots that I took using my K-5, Pentax 100mm WR macro, with Raynox DCR-250 attached.

I posted some more shots on this original post. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-beginners-corner-q/184772-macro-ge...ml#post2247821

Some really nice work I am seeing on this forum. Thanks all for sharing.

And the upload failed since it says I have uploaded many of these shots to a different forum post. Oh well, the link is above.

These are very nice and I am sure it has taken a lot of patience to get these results. Like you said in your thread it takes a ton of shots to get one good one.

I bought my rayox 150 just before the summer so I did not shoot much with it. With my new k-30, I am early waiting for spring to see what I can get.

One thing that I do like though is the fact that you shot hand held. I also bought a cheap led flash ring but it has proven so useful yet. Maybe I am not using it well.

I find the onboard flash with a diffuser more useful.
