at one point, i got quite close to it and it just occured to me that it might creep into the lens...

Its interesting the 250 seems to getting a lot of attension lately.

I thought it is difficult to find focus with the 250.

Amazing shots, those jumping spiders are the "scottish folds' of the spider world, I'm afraid of spiders but seeing such pictures make me want to reach out and cuddle them. The DCR 250 + Sigma 70 are a match made in heaven

I recently got a 150 and did the monthly challenge with it...mostly used HeliconFocus for focus stacking...some images:

Old Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO macro on 300mm macro with Raynox DCR-250.
Tiny sugar ants attracted by cat food
The setup was pretty lousy : handheld, no flash diffuser. Very hard to focus on those tiny guys, they are no more than 2mm. Considering the setup, the result is not bad at all.
