Definitely. It *does* get a little annoying when I'm taking a night photo with a slower lens, though. But hey, live view.

My "Special Lady" (SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.2), 1/60 @ f/1.2, ISO 800
This shot... Mine has worse problem than this, on a high contrast scene (particularly black-white) the closer distance object has purple fringing, but behind has blue fringing. Anyone notice this?

I just received my Cosinon 55mm f1.2 lens and like it so far,
Here is my first proper shot with it at wide open

From more research, it seems that this lens is similar to porst 55mm f1.2, being similarly 'glowy'.
I might get a Pentax 50mm f1.2 to compare and see how much sharper it is.

Also, being a noob, i found how out, that getting good focus can be a bit of a challenge,
especially of non stationary felines (but i think this one was not too bad)..

Am i right to say these focus screens like ees are not useful when using a slow lens?

If all my lenses are auto aperture and f4.5 is the slowest lens, would it affect me in any way?

it'll be darker than the stock one. In bright light it won't matter. In dim light, it might be a pain. There's a thread somewhere around here that gives the approximate difference in stops of light. I think it was 2, but don't quote me on that.

Yes it does optically, though has the different exterior construction (similar to later Cosina clones).

Thanks! The Cosina makes a fun macro lens with an old manual Pentax extension tube. If anyone tries this, make sure you have a lens hood or skylight filter on your $$$ lens, as the closest focus is... close.
