I'm still expecting to get over the whole shooting at f/0.95 with my new Noctilux any day now. Though I have to say it is a superlative lens when stopped down to f/1.2.

Killer combo!

For that price, I'd hope so!

I like your style and to have that opportunity to say "stopped down to F1.2"

You don't come across that opportunity often.

Title of this thread . . .

Should this thread title be changed to recognize the "faster" lenses? It does say "(f 1.2 ONLY!)"

50+55 = 105 1.2

Hi So I got 55 f1.2 porst MC.
I bought PORST because I saw here that it have different bokeh more nervous with bright rim.
So I make simple and fast comparison of SMC K 50 and PORSTbokeh. Both photos are handhelded but focused liveview. I have Katzeye and OM-53 x1.3 viewfinder but it still need some calibration due to ultra narrow DOF.
Both photos go through Lightroom but postprocessing was identical. (Personally do not see the point to show unprocessed RAW files)
Photos!
all strait here:
50 an 55 1.2 - krochmal

Thanks for posting - a very nice comparison. Since I've become recently interested in getting for myself one of those super fast lenses - I found your small test a very nice and helpful. Could you also post some comments or details on how each of the lenses used are optically ? What I mean by that is do they have any optical issues or flaws that we would need to take into account? I am thinking about small front/back cleaning marks, dust inside ? Or any sign of haziness ?

Cheers !

Great series ! The purple fringing in the first one came out quite severe .. did you attempt to fix it somehow in post processing ?
