Some flower closeups with an old classic, the converted Canon-FL 55mm f 1.2. I enjoyed this lens so much on old Canon F-1 film cameras that I decided to spend a dime and bring it into the digital age. Sometimes it flares and sometimes it vignettes, but in the right weather and the right lighting it does itself proud. I enjoy using it because the aperture does not close down and then open up for the shot--meaning that I can use Av mode with exposure adjustment as needed and let the K-1 select shutter speed while forgetting about green button nonsense. Most who have commented on the lens find it no better than the Pentax 50/1.2s, but still it is good, and this old lens has been around the world with me dozens and dozens of times, African safaris, Great Wall of China, Royal Palace Museum in Bangkok, so when I go out shooting with it, it reminds me of other places and other times.

One a NEX-6 with Mitakon Lens Turbo II.

Having a Lens Turbo behind a 1.2 definitely challenges my camera's highlight headroom.

My first time on a super-fast lens.
