Have you tried using LiveView to focus? Seems to work better for a lot of situations for me...

Here's mine, sunset in Noumea. Had to wait for the sun to go right down, and then some, before I could shoot wide open.

Mmmm, creamy sunset bokeh.

This is a great thread! A lot of these images are very well composed while using the DoF effects in an interesting way, I especially like the shots by Gus- some of your best portraiture! I also have a K 50mm f1.2 but lately I've kind of stopped using my faster lenses. I find my 40mm f2.8 a lot more convenient due to its size. I also kind of feel that my shots at 1.2 rely on the DoF effect a little too much. But maybe it is time to take it out and try again.

Indoor available light shot - Pentax A 50mm f1.2 - 1/45 sec @ f1.2. Note the thin DOF on the arm of the chair:

I should have mentioned that particular shot was not hand-held The camera was propped on the bar and my friend posed for it.

Here are a bunch from my Pentax A. I probably need a different focus screen now Its going to take a little pactice to get use to this one.

Taken throughout the day during my route today.

Wow!!!
I just saw some of the images from those f1.2 lenses and I am truly amazed!
Where is it possible to get wither one of them? Any opinions as to which one of the two (Cosina/Pentax) has the "best" Bokeh rendering? (Personally, I really like the Cosina's images here.

Cheers!

I'm pretty sure I posted these in the Cosina thread, but what the heck, it has been a while:

Gooshin, isn't this first shot a picture of you? Who took the shot? Whoever did nailed focus.
