Hehe. Well. I have spent a year or two on this modification and have a bunch of working fd lenses.
Now im eorking on a commercial version for the fd 50/1,4.
When im done I will need to sell a few and then Ill start on other fd lenses including the 85mm1,2.

If anyone is interested let me know.

Did you have to add glass to it? I thought the canon lenses couldn't work on Pentax because they'd end up hitting the mirror in order to get close enough to the sensor or something.

No extra glass.
So far I have these modified and working as K/M lenses.
50/1,4, 35/2, 200/4, 200/4 Macro, 400/4,5, 80-200/4 L, 35-105/3,5 85/1,2 L
Im also working on the 20/2,8 and more to come. I will do the 500/4,5 but I need to afford the lens first.
All have perfect infinity without any extra glass.

I do this because they are a joy to use. I have had modern lenses but sold almost all of them since I dont like the quality.

Today I finished the "real" design of the 50/1,4. Next step is to actually manufacture the parts and trim the design to perfection. Everything will be machined from stainless steel. Its a very interesting project and I think the olny way to really be able to enjoy a 85mm F1,2 on a Pentax.
Will be nice if Pentax finally releases a K1 FF camera. All these old great FD lenses will be even better on that FF camera..... come on Pentax/Richo.

Btw.
Another nice thing about the conversion is that it is complete non destructive. Its easy to turn it back to original if that is ever needed.
The 85mm f1,2L is however not that easy to create a mod kit for. I would have to make the conversion for the customer. Simply to complex for most to do on their own.
Sometimes Infinity might have to be adjusted after the conversion is done but if so I will help with instructions.

Got a Revunon 55mm 1.2 today, I'm liking the effect so far:

What I was not liking, is I suspect the seller I got it from took it to a bad CLA or something. I had to open it up and fix some clips on the aperture ring for stuff to work right.
