Some shots from my third f/1.2 lens - a good condition Yashinon 55/1.2 M42. Mounted on a NEX-3 with focus peaking.

Wow, that is really maximizing the thin DOF effect.

Canon FD 55 mm f 1.2 and FL 55 mm f 1.2

I have both these Canon lenses and occasionally use them on Canon film cameras. I am considering having them converted to K-mount for use on Pentax K-5II. I will be very interested in any comments/advice anyone could offer on this idea.

Canon FL 55 mm f 1.2--my ticket to the 1.2 club!

My latest acquisition, a mount conversion of an old lens I owned from my film days, the Canon FL 55 mm f 1.2, arguably the sharpest lens I own, except maybe the Pentax 50 mm f 2.8 macro. I enjoy seeing the Canon lens on the Pentax K-5ii, looking like it belongs there! Sorry for the poor quality of the attached photo, a tight crop of a photo with the K-7 with Pentax 10-17 fisheye.

Ha! It does look good on the K-5II.

Whackem biscuits

Nothing like whackem biscuits, apricot jam, and coffee for breakfast. This is a DOF study of Canon FL 55 mm f 1.2 at f 1.2 on Pentax K-5II. The FL mount was removed and replaced with K-mount to preserve full FL functionality, rendering, and sharpness.

Canon FL 55 mm f 1.2 as a portraiture lens

Model Mary poses for the Pentax K-5II with Canon FL 55mm f 1.2 @ 1.2 in light from east a little after mid-morning. The lens offers possibilities as a portraiture lens on cropped sensor. Will maybe try also on MZ-S to see how it works with full frame.
