I didn't see many photos of Tomioka and its clones, but it certainly looks appealing to me. It can create artistic dream images due to its bokeh. Pentax is more like a regular lens. It can create great sharp portraits at f1.2 with great background blur. Totally usable as a modern lens for portraits.
Love this photo. I feel present in the scene with the barnyard, patched fences, mist in the background.

First time really going out and shooting with this lens since cleaning it up myself. It's going to take some getting used to for focusing, especially on these older bodies. I will try on my K-1 later and see if it's easier. This was shot on the K10D, and it came out looking really film like to me. Focus is slightly to the front on the first shot. Second shot nailed focus, but took almost 10 tries

Oh, and the Pentax K 50mm 1.2 is the lens I am shooting with.

A shot from this morning. This time on my K-1. Easier to focus with live view and the tilting screen.

Nice view of Orion. Can you give us some technical details too, please?

Thanks. Sure I can. This was taken last evening. I used Astrotracer for this. Aperture was set at f1.2 and ISO at 100. Shutter speed was 60 seconds. And that's about it. Yes, I was aiming at Orion, not sure I got it all because it was just above the roof of the house, but sure I got the three stars in the belt. This is my favourite constellation and I enjoyed in it since I was a kid every winter.

Very proud of this one. My backyard hummingbird feeder, taken with my A 50mm f/1.2 on my KP.
