Post your ƒ1.2 Photos! (ƒ1.2 ONLY!)

I just bought my first Cosina ƒ1.2 55mm. I'm waiting for it to get here. I'm looking to buy the Pentax K ƒ1.2 as well.

I thought it would be neat if people who owned an ƒ1.2 would post their best photos taken ONLY at ƒ1.2!

(Since that's why we're buying these lenses and not a ƒ1.4 or ƒ1.7 or ƒ2.8!)

So anyway, I was wondering if any proud picture-snappers would post their photos taken ONLY AT ƒ1.2 (FROM ANY LENS, MAKE, or MODEL... as long as on a Pentax camera of course!)...

Thanks!

Cosina 55 1.2 - you asked for it!

Just got this one, so I am still in the infatution stage... shooting anything and everything that moves or has shape or color,
so these are not 'the best over time'... Just my faves from the first wave

Come join us! Just get an ƒ1.2 lens! I'm getting my Cosina for only $235 shipped! And K's are only $350... not toooooo pricey. It seems even the Cosina's and Porst's have some amazing bokeh! Man I love the Cosina photos that were posted!!! ... mine will be here in a week or so.

Your Cosina... is it a Cosina?? It seems sharper wide open than my FA 50 1.4!!! I don't see any softness... albeit these images are shrunk for the web. My FA 50 1.4 is soft ..... I love your painterly bokeh!!!

You are lucky....
It is a Cosina 55 1.2 and I waited almost 2 years before I finally got it... I should not have waited. I am very happy with the sharpness when I get focus right... But like all shallow DOF lenses, that is not a given ...

And you are right about the resize helping... I tend to any PP to the shots at full size with no sharpening added... save that version and then shrink a copy at 900wide for the web. When I resize, I lose some sharpness so I give the re-sized copy a bump in sharpness before posting to the web.

But I am pleased with the 'look' straight from the camera... It really is all about getting the focus point close on the shot. But I even like the slightly oof shots with this lens. I missed focus on the shot of the guy holding the cell phone, but it actually is one of my favorite shots so far with the lens.

You will get lost in this lens, but it is a fun place to be lost.

Cosina 55 f/1.2

I agree with Gus, shooting any random object with this thing is a blast.

(There is some seriously good photography in this thread already, makes me want to
go out and practice )

Nothing wrong at all, it's just not an F1.2!
