Hey! what do you see..that was totally underexposed and I recovered it and then used a lot of dodging. I am having a tough time with monitor calibration, do you see a lot of artifacts?

Thanks.

Had the FA*24/2 about 3 hours now... first snap:

K10D, FA24/2, 1/180th @ f/2, ISO100

First impressions are that it is sharp enough wide open (esp in the centre), very sharp at f/6.7, well-built but heavy, and PF not half as bad as I was expecting, same for bokeh.

Hey pcarfan, my laptop has a habit of bringing out faults in images..... its actually quite weird (and frustrating). On my laptop it looks quite odd..... washed out color with many odd artifacts. Its noticeable only if you know what to look for on the other computers however..... overall great image

Took some landscape shots last night at the Uffington White Horse (Wiki).

Whilst I didn't buy a fast wide-angle as a landscape lens (tended to use Sigma 10-20, M20 or M28) - but if the FOV is right, think the FA*24 can replace them! Stopped down (f/6.7 onwards), this lens is pin sharp:

Nice one Rob.
My 24 actually did replace Sigma 10-20 as my main WA lens.
But I have to say I find it pin sharp WAY wider than f6.7

Agreed - didn't mean to say it was soft under f/6.7! My early impressions are that wide open is a tad soft, f/2.4 is miles better and f/3.5 upwards is fantastic. However, for across-frame sharpness I try to stick to f/5.6-11-ish.

Great baby shots, pinholecam!
The FA* 85mm/1.4 is a really magnificent portrait lens. Razor sharp & beautiful bokeh!
Here is a picture of my brother listening music:
