F*600/4 + Tamron 1.4x TC

Needless to say, this isn't the set up I'd deliberately choose for kitty photos but, in lieu of birds....

The lens is just back from Eric, btw--he seems to have sharpened it up nicely.

The sharpness of the F-35-70mm.

About a month or so ago, I bought a very nice copy of the little Pentax-F 35-70mm lens. Today, I took my first shots using the macro feature and boy, was I in for a surprise! It certainly lived up to it's reputation for sharpness!

The attached photo hasn't a scintilla of photographic interest other than to point out the extreme sharpness of this old timer.

Very nice! The tracks in the grass are a--perhaps the--key ingredient.

Nice photo. I read about this plant in Canada, it is a wild impatiens and the leaves were used as a antidote to poison ivy. I collected some seeds and am going to try to grow some for next year, not to test the claim intentionally though.

Yes--jewel weed. It's common along streams here in the mid-Atlantic.

Thank you David! And thanks for the tidbit on the poison ivy antidote. In the past several years my sensitivity to poison ivy has increased, so I would be interested to hear about the results of your test.

Interesting Dave. That particular plant was found on a creek bank here in central Ohio.
