PS: Just curious, have you noticed Sharpen AI does weird things sometimes to background OOF items and bokeh ? Especially water and ripples etc. Sometimes I have to do the subject-only selection to sharpen, then invert the selection and just use Sharpen AI at a different setting to just let it clean up sensor noise or just sharpen certain other objects more gently.
Thanks Eric... I beleive you it can add artifacts in the background !
Actually, I normally don't apply the sharpening no other than on the subject. So, to start my workfow, I use the auto-subject selection, and sometimes, I add or remove some part of the mask, trying to limit it to the main subject only...
Also, I found that auto selection of sharpening model do not often work, so I try a couple other models manually, until I am satisfied... I don't want artifacts and I choose the most "natural" method at the end... (that's time consuming, because my laptop is not the fastest, take 10sec to 1 minute for each method maybe ~ 20s average)
