If the EXIF is correct it, I guess it must be the FA*28-70.

K10D and F* 250-600 at Yellowstone Park

My case arrived last night for this lens. Give me another day or so and I'll create a new thread with details of the lens and case.

Don't laugh. LeRolls had just posted two new photos with the FA* 85 and they were framed about the same as the bear. I scrolled to the bear and thought HOLY #$$% someone was that close to a bear standing up!!!! before I did a double take and realized what lens you used. LOL. Great shot but nothing tops what I thought had happened.

Haha, I laughed.

And I was still uncomfortably close to the mama bear, but out of the roughly 300 people stopped to take photos, I figured I could run faster than half of them.

If you had shot that with the FA* 85 you'd have a job as a bear portrait artist in the bag - NatGeo would be on the phone and they'd call you the bear whisperer.

LeRolls, the first one above is one of your better shots, with the exception of you cutting her legs off at the knees. The second one has much better composition regarding the legs. The third photo would look much better had you included a little more of her legs below the knees.

The first photo looks quite natural with normal (not too orange) skin tones, and the post processing hasn't removed all the details of her skin (no plastic). I can see the model's beautiful freckles on her nose and under her eyes. Great job.
