Bismillah

I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out how to use the power zoom. I am using a KP and K1 and have assured that the lens barrel switch is pushed forward and shows "power zoom" and the selector switch is in "PZ" I can't get the lens to zoom at all. Is there something else I am missing...I really want to keep this lens. Thanks.

I have just learned the PZ works on the K1 but not my KP. Why would this be? Thanks a lot.

Power zoom with my FA*28-70 works on my K-3 as well as my K-1. It also worked on my K-5, so I’m at a loss to explain why yours doesn’t work with your KP, unless there’s a fault with its power contacts. Do you have a DC voltmeter (or multimeter) that you can check them with?

The KP is an incredible camera. There were several new features that caught my attention when the camera was released. However there were just a couple things about the camera which made me pass on it. One of these was the lack of Power Zoom functionality (see page 126 of the KP manual, under the subheading of Usable Lenses).
