Jarvier, that looks like excellent software you have there. Thank you for sharing the secret. The distortion on this lens is a peculiar thing, not really predictable. I find there are some scenes the lens just doesn't like, and it really is essential to hold the sensor perpendicular to the subject.

But that is all a moot point with software like you display here. Sigh.....is the bag of tricks for this hobby bottomless?
A friend of mine who does real estate photography told me about the plug in/ He uses the Sigma 10-20 on a Nikon and for him making the image straight was crucial for obvious reasons. Price wise, it was less that $50.00. I bought it a few months back, but just started to use about two weeks ago.

A nice friend indeed! Would it be possible to post a "real estate" like shot @ 10mm, with this cool software at work? Or perhaps, some street shots of buildings? I have a feeling I will own this software very, very soon.

Jarvier, that 2nd shot is basically a direct look into the sun, yet no flare--did you PP it out? I ask because, more than once, you have expressed concerns with flaring for this lens.

PFH, you are providing some amazing shots, one after the other--I feel like I am back in school. Please, do not stop--some of it is bound to sink in for me.

Oh, No pp work. Heck I would not even know how to do it. Pretty much flare issues are solved with the CPL. As I was looking through the view finder, I simply kept turning it until it looked fine.

Yes, this shot is very well done. The angle is catching, and the inclusion of the staircase is captivating--nice--nice. I really hope you stay with this lens, and do not defect to the Da 15mm--just selfish on my part because I like examining your shots here.

So then, is it fair for me to conclude the lens does not have any flaring issues for you, until you attach a CPL? CPLs are known for doing this to a lens under the right conditions for sure--some, more than others. If I recall correctly, you have a high-end CPL too--correct? High end CPLs are known for being able to cope with flare, more so than their lesser priced counterparts.

Correct. With the CPL, no flare and with out the cpl, typical flare.

This is not my go-to lens for flowers, but it does the Peony good. At 14mm, ISO 200, 1/40th, F8
