My shots for World Pentax Day last Saturday, though I haven't submitted these yet to the gallery. Will do on the weekends.

If you have the time, please read the (long) story about this star trails shot on my Flickr account. Cheers!

There are quite a number of shooting locations in Changi Beach for sunset shots & this tree is one of them.

The three (or is it five?) towers joined at the top isn't something you see every day.

Loving my Sigma 10-20

Recently returned from spending some time in Israel. I found a well-priced 10-20 F4-5.6 in the marketplace shortly before I left, and I couldn't resist. I am so glad I brought it along! I used the Pentax DA 18-135 on my K-x 80% of the time, but almost all the rest of the time I had the 10-20 on. I'm still learning how to use it well. (Closer, get closer!) If I position the camera correctly when I take the shot, it really does a great job of keeping things rectilinear. I need to play w/ it more to artistically use it non-rectilinearly.

I've attached one example I would never have gotten without it that shows off it UWA ability. It's in the Bell Caves at Bet Guvrin. It was actually rather dark, and this is a handheld shot.

Stunning! What an interesting and intriguing subject you have captured with the Sigma UWA. It seems you and your lens handled the low light with no worries.

Chester, now I then I got the time to read your story in flickr.
I admire your courage and determination of shooting the star trail shot + many hrs of hardwork on PP, the end results turn out to be a wonderful shot.
btw congrats on your 200th pic in flickr.

It's been a while since I've used this lens, but it accompanied me on a recent hiking trip near Vail, CO. Lets be honest...the 10-20 is no friend on long hikes at elevations of 12000+ feet, but the perspective is tough to beat.
