Really great shots, Falke and Disco!

Falke, you must have had vignetting from stacking filters. Did you crop to remove that?

DIsco, I'd love to know how you painted the blue lights. They're so feathery and soft in places it looks almost like smoke.

Thanks Tamia. No, there was no cropping or vignetting in this shot, other than that caused by the Big Stopper.

I only have two slots and the cpl ring holder on my setup (rather than 3 slots).
I noticed that if I focus at 1 metre then there is less chance of (or no) vignetting compared to focusing at distance say infinity or even 10m.
But I noticed also that if there is ever some vignetting and I use lens correction with the sigma 10 - 20 profile in Adobe Camera Raw, then it disappears as the corners with the vignette are pulled outside the frame. A fact that puzzles me since that seems to cause more distortion in the corners. But maybe the distortions are more even after the correction...

But yes, no vignetting in this shot. Happy riding and shooting Tamia.

Love this thread, love this lens and the work you guys have been pushing out lately is incredible. I've not been using the lens (or indeed my Pentax kit) much lately, but here's one freshly processed from the archives. It's the Palace de Justice, Monaco.

Love the images on this page. I hate to single any out, but the b&w tree photo by furryurry is quite striking. The motion and shapes are just great.

Sunset today.

I just got my Siggy and I'm still exploring it. Our cat finds the lens only a very few inches away interesting, but I haven't dared to shoot my wife at 10mm and filling the frame! Or if I do so I won't show her the results. I tried the specific lens correction in Lightroom 4 and it makes a worthwhile difference, quite visible when shooting a brick wall.

As a newbie to this thread I'll have to search out folks' experience with polarizing filters. The cost of such in 77mm is a bit much to try without some concern; I've got one for my 645n 35mm lens and find the results problematic given the wide view, like a 20mm in 35mm format. It seems that the varying polarization of sunlight over such a wide field of view tends to give pronounced difference in the saturation of the sky across the field of view. Not always what I want, although it might be fun in some pictures.

I rented this lens back in August to get some ultrawide shots of the night sky. Here are a few pictures:

You guys are masters with this lens! All the pictures here are so good I'd hang them all on my wall. Coming here to the Club is always refreshing and revives my creative yearnings.
