A few years ago, I spent an enjoyable afternoon shooting in an overgrown automobile graveyard with my Siggy. I'm not sure I've posted these before on this thread. They're not up to the quality of the beautiful landscapes many of you post here, but auto graveyards of this sort are scattered all around rural America, and I imagine each of these deteriorating vehicles, if they could talk, would have stories to tell.
The UWA was great for this site because of the close proximity of the cars and the dense tree growth. All shot with the Pentax K200D, the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC, f8, handheld. Here are a few from that session:
Some awesome photos here Tamia!! You brought the "dead" automobiles out from their deep slumber. These shots are music to the eyes.
And when all of us complain how poor pre K-5 DSLRs are, you brought out the glory in your photos with the K200D.
Also the dated Sigma 10-20 EX DC is still a wonderful lens - can weave magic.
Regards.

Why, thank you for your kind words, Nanhi. The K200D can produce some pleasing images, for sure, as can the 10-20 EX DC. I gain considerable inspiration and appreciation for the lens' abilities by visiting this thread.

I wound up down at Portland Head Light yesterday, and took The Mandatory Shot of the Lighthouse before realizing that shooting the spot where I was making TMSOTL could be interesting in and of itself.

Shot low with the 10-20, this chunk of dirt probably has had more people standing on it than anywhere else in the state (if not the country). Theres a reason 95% of the Portland Head Light shots look identical, and this spot is it.

Yes that and the Peggy's Cove Light outside Halifax. Oddly I don't have the quintessential shot of the Peggy's Cove Light in my library

Very nicely done Ken
The shot would make a fitting memorial for a fallen or lost seafarer

Nope this was shot @12mm FF mode, I re-cropped and removed the vignetting and ended up in this image with 6122x4156 resolution, wider and higher res than cropped mode 10mm (4800x3200)

The image posted earlier was a crop of this image,

Thanks for posting the full image....The vignetting still isn't bad for using an Aps-c lens.
