In my opinion, that is the best shot of the entire thread. It is simply amazing.

I do not see a better one--it has a mystical quality to it and a simplicity which, paradoxically, radiates profundity--AWEsome.

HI,
I've asked this a week or two ago but I'll try again:
could someone take a shot at 10mm and another at 18mm (of the same scene) so I can see how much extra comes into the picture with a very wide angle lens?
Thanks,
Pa.

Nice! I think I prefer the 10mm shots over the 20s. Knock out colors all the way around.

I cannot wait to get this lens. Maybe Christmas will be good to me this year and I can find a deal... So many great photos on here, and especially great colors in the above few.

I don't have the time to snap a few samples right now, but in close up situations the difference between 10mm to 18mm is quite huge. As an example, every millimeter counts when you in a close up situations like shooting the interior of a car. That's why the DA12-24 isn't wide enough for my tastes, much less the DA15. I was at a trade show for fire trucks earlier this year and unfortunately I just brought my DA15 because it was new. I was unable to get one usable complete shot of a trucks interior.

I have a quick question. With a lens this wide, is it possible to use a ND8 filter without getting irregularities in the exposure like you do with CPL filters? I know with CPL's you sometimes get dark spots because of the wide field of view, just wondering if this happend with ND filters as well. Thanks!

Straighten out that second one and it would be even more awesome than it already is! Great contrast and love how the light falls on the pipes until they fade away.

Yes, at 10mm with NDs you can lose some light around the edges, but it's only slightly and you can correct peripheral illumincation in Camera Raw quite easily.
